Since leaving school, I have worked in-and-around the photographic industry.  Starting out in 1987 as a trainee professional photographic lab technician, I quickly gained experience in all aspects of traditional photographic processing and printing, as well as various aspects of photography.  In 1997, sensing rapid changes in the industry from film to digital imaging, I made the technological leap towards digital retouching and the production of large-format inkjet graphics.

I have been retouching on a freelance basis since 2003, and I have continued to use my Photoshop expertise on a broad spectrum of subject matter – especially cars, motorcycles, fast-moving consumer goods, jewellery, fashion, beauty and skincare products.

Advertising agencies, repro houses, design studios and photographers have all utilised my services.  I am familiar with standard operating procedure within such environments, as well as the use of raw capture software, RGB & CMYK work flows, etc.  Though not my main skills, I also have a fair working knowledge of most industry-standard software – Quark/Indesign, Illustrator, Acrobat, etc. – with a sound understanding of the requirements for design and print.  I am a more-than-capable photographer too.

My attention to detail, a trained eye for colour, sense of realism, wide photographic knowledge and relevant industry experience make me an ideal supplier for retouching work of all types.
